The Heart Behind Hinterland Igloo

Hinterland Igloo was created from the ground up as a place to slow down. Spacious, open and filled with natural light, its curved architecture, soaring ceiling and connection to the surrounding trees create a feeling of calm from the moment you arrive.

We wanted to create the kind of place we would choose ourselves – somewhere that feels considered without feeling complicated. Put a record on. Make coffee slowly. Read a book. Sit by the fire. Step outside beneath the trees. There is Wi-Fi and all the modern comfort you need, but very little demanding your attention.

More than anything, we hope the Igloo gives you permission to live simply again for a little while – to breathe, rest, reconnect and leave feeling lighter than when you arrived.

There’s so much to see just beyond the garden gate. If you feel like heading out, Montville, Mapleton, and Maleny are all nearby, each with their own charm. Wander through village shops, stopping for a good coffee, discover local produce, or take in a beautiful hinterland view.

Head to the hinterland, with waterfalls, rainforest walks and scenic trails, all within easy reach and plenty of quiet places to stop and breathe it all in.
